Our Story
How it all started
Mike and Hope aka Mama (my parents) migrated to the United States in 1978, and with them they brought the attribute of PHILOXENIA; an act of hospitableness, love and welcome. When they opened Cheshire Pizza their warm and genuine demeanor is what made them unique. It was not unusual for "Mama" to invite her customers over for Thanksgiving Day Dinner or Greek Easter to not only enjoy the traditional Greek cuisine, but to also enjoy each others' company or "parea". What was intended to be a temporary opportunity to provide for one’s family turned out to be an amazing 40 year career for my parents. The connections and life long friendships they formed is what inspired us to take over the reigns.
Us
The hospitality bug was firmly implanted into both of us from a very young age. As children of successful restaurateurs and hoteliers we were taught the value and importance of hard work ethic, dedication and passion.
Combined we have 40 years of experience in the restaurant/bar and hotel industry. We have been involved in both the front and back of the house as well as management in various businesses throughout North America and Europe. While undergoing the extensive renovations our vision was to create an environment that everyone can call home, that is comforting, welcoming and not pretentious. We proudly can say that we have brought our vision into fruition.
Our pizza recipe has remained the same for the past 40 years and is made from the finest ingredients daily. Our optimum brews are carefully selected to ensure we have a well-rounded assortment that appeals to everyone’s liking.
